5 Things That Take a Room from Good to Great

The bedroom should be a personal outing, a shrine that expresses your favorite colors, feelings and collections. Learn the most important principles to keep in mind when decorating your bedroom.

Choose a subtle color

Instead of bold primary colors, choose soothing shades and a relaxing palate with monochromatic tones. Remember the theory of color: soft shades of blue, lavender and green are considered calm and tranquil. Rich jewelry sounds help determine the mood of coziness and comfort. This includes colored brown mugs, pomegranate or Topaz. Use pent-up versions of your favorite colors in the bedroom. "This may mean by choosing violet instead of eggplant or pumpkin instead of Mandarin.

Don't Overlook the Ceiling

The ceiling is the fifth wall in the room. If you are lying in bed, do you see a flat, empty surface? Add a subtle pattern or soft color. Ceiling color, a slightly lighter version of the wall color. This will help to visually lower the ceiling and give the space a sense of comfort and intimacy.

Other solutions would be narrow or ceiling wallpaper, add architectural elements in the form of beams or slats, or use decorative color treatment. For ultimate luxury, silver-colored bedroom ceilings, canopy or threaded bed with wardrobe hanging from the ceiling, you can wrap in the sensuality and warmth while adding texture, design and color to the ceiling. Add a sculpted medallion and crystal chandelier or delicate shades that bring color, pattern and texture to the "fifth wall" above you.

Keep your bedroom simple

The bedroom should look cozy and simple, refined and elegant, regardless of what type of decoration you choose. For easy movement, leave at least three feet between the bed and the sidewalls or large furniture and at least two feet between the bed and the low furniture as tables and sideboards. When you have to walk around the bed to get from the closet to the bathroom, you think about how to move the bed. Deliver your bedroom exactly what you need. Bed, bedside table or two, chest of drawers and chairs are the needs. Anything else is a mess. If you have a room, put a dresser in a closet.

Accessories should be kept to a minimum. Choose a nice piece of graphics, arrange some family photos, add flowers and candles and leave it alone. Choose the right size for your furniture

When you're ready to buy bedroom furniture, start with the floor plan and measured room drawing. The furniture should fit into the room that lives, and that's especially true for bedroom furniture. Don't choose a heavy, large bed and dresser for a small bedroom. If the ceiling is high, the high headrest helps to significantly coarsening it.

If the bedroom is large, choose the furniture that also suits it. Add a chair and Ottomans or place a piece of furniture at the end of the bed. Furniture and accessories that are too small will look lost in a large room.

Have Plenty of Storage

To heighten the cheerful feel of the bedroom, keep things out of sight. The room becomes more relaxed and quiet.

  • Choose a bedside room with drawers or doors behind which you can hide books, lotions and reading glasses at your fingertips, but not out of sight. For more space, choose a table with a strip or a small sideboard with drawers.
  • To store additional sheets, blankets and pillows, you should use a trunk or bench for storage on the legs of the bed.
  • Easy to access books and accessories, use a headrest with built-in shelves or sliding panels.
  • A specially designed organizational system can make the most of your closet space.
  • Put flat boxes under the bed by hiding them with a beautiful skirt bed.

With a soft mohair or cashmere scolliery on the shoulder reading chair, give more sensual fabrics through the bedroom, cover the walls with silk or textured wall coverings, put down silk curtains or curtains or add plush floor mats. Cover Windows.
